Description: Ward Lock & Co,, [c.1869]. 8vo., Two Hundred and Eighty-Ninth Thousand, with coloured frontispiece (original tissue guard present), 11 coloured plates and very numerous engraved illustrations in the text; green cloth, green roan back lettered in gilt, red sprinkled edges, primrose endpapers, a near fine copy in later nineteenth-century binding. Remarkably well-preserved, bright, clean, fresh copy of a later printing of the New [Second] Edition. VERY SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION.
