Bright, crisp copy of an important study first published in 1894. This revised edition includes a newly extended bibliography by John Lane. Strang's portrait of Hardy, commissioned by Lane for the frontispiece of the original edition and present here as a plate, is widely considered to be the artist's finest etching.
