This is Street's enthusiastic account of the Home Guard from inception to maturity, told through the eyes of the Sedgebury Wallop Platoon in the Wessex region. Due to wartime production constraints all subsequent issues omit the plates present in the first edition. COPIES SIGNED BY THIS AUTHOR ARE VERY SCARCE INDEED.
