With the prize bookplate of Harrow School (dated 1907) on front paste-down. A handsome copy of the first single-volume edition, based on the two-volume first edition of 1890. This edition retains Nansens's preface, adds a new preface by Longman and preserves the great majority of the illustrations of the original.
