It was taken in 1939 just before embarkation for France with the BEF. We are indebted to Graham Alcock (whose father and uncle appear in the picture) for contextual information. A SUPERB AND MOST UNUSUAL MOMENTO OF THE BATTALION IN WWII. EXTREMELY SCARCE.
