Description: Knight & Dredge, Windsor,, 1821. 8vo., First Edition, with engraved title-vignette, neat contemporary signature on title; handsomely bound in contemporary half roan, marbled boards, back with six flat bands tooled in gilt, second compartment with red leather label lettered and ruled in gilt, third compartment lettered and numbered in gilt, all other compartments ruled in gilt and blind, red sprinkled edges, neatly rebacked with old backstrip laid down, a remarkably well-preserved, bright, clean copy. The signature on title is 'A Conyngham'; several members of this eminent family attended the College. The volume collects No. I (October 1820), No. II (November 1820), No. III (December 1820), No. IV (February 1821), No. V (March 1821). A second volume comprising nos. 6-10 was published in 1822 but is not present here. EXCEEDINGLY SCARCE, ESPECIALLY IN A CONTEMPORARY BINDING. Harcourt p.28 (listing the work under '1820').
