Author: W.J. Healy; G.A. Stovel Title: Winnipeg's Early Days: A Short Historical Sketch
Description: Winnipeg: Stovel Company, Limited, 1927. Hard bound in light gray boards, third printing, Pp59. The long subtitle to the volumes reads: A Short Historical Sketch by W.J. Healy, Provincial Librarian of Manitoba and author of Women of Red River and other books, and Twelve Full Color Prints of Early Winnipeg Scenes with Introduction and Descriptive Titles, by G.A. Stovel. Hinges are weak with some tearing of paper boards along spine else an unmarked, very good copy in what appears to be a professionally homemade faux navy leather jacket with a cellophane window to reveal the paper title on the front board. Since it appears to be so expertly done, this jacket may well be the publisher's original. Uncommon. 450 grams. We welcome all reasonable offers on our books and also offer local curbside pick-up.
