The book covers have noticeable toning, especially to the spine ends and edges. The top front spine joint has a crack, about an inch down from the top edeg, that's visible but appears stable. There is some light bumping and wear to the spine ends and corners of the book covers. The text pages are generally clean and bright, though there is some light toning to the page edges, and spots of foxing throughout . Included are 31 black and white illustrations by Richard Dorgan. "He is remembered as the illustrator of Thorne Smith's first two novels, Biltmore Oswald (1918) and Out o' Luck (1919) , as well as for his work as a columnist for Photoplay Magazine and newspaper artist in the 1920s and '30s.
