" Heins notes in his expanded 1964 edition that this 1962 precursor was "the original edition of the present volume," adding that a total of 148 copies were made: "98 were distributed in the form of loose sheets and covers punched for 3-hole binders, and 50 in white plastic comb-binding for presentation copies and libraries." (Heins HHH-1) This is a large paperback book with a spiral binding. The book is in Very Good+ condition and was issued without a dust jacket. The top three tines of the spiral binding have cracked off. The text pages are clean and bright. "Henry Hardy Heins (December 7, 1923 - October 1, 2003) was an American Lutheran minister, historian and bibliographer. He was born in Hollis, Queens on Long Island and received degrees from Hartwick College and Gettysburg Theological Seminary. He was ordained a Lutheran minister in 1948 and served at parishes in the upstate New York towns of Central Bridge, Liberty and Albany. Heins wrote books on history and a bibliography of Edgar Rice Burroughs, after collecting and studying his works for over 30 years. He died on October 1, 2003 in Albany at the age of 79.
