The text pages are generally clean, though there are spots of foxing on the title page, along with a couple of pages with pencil markings. There is an ink stamped previous owner's date on the first free page. "Trumbull White was a noted editor, author, war correspondent, and director of the Bay View Assembly in 1916-1917. He advised Ernest Hemingway to "write what he knew." Hemingway had dinner in New York with him before leaving for Italy and World War I" (Mary Jane Doerr, Pinterest). Very Good .
