The text pages are clean and bright (with exception of the edges of the text block, which also has fingermarks and ground-in dirt. "The purpose of this reference book is to provide rerence material for instruction of the U. S. Army Command and General Staff College. Further, its purpose is to orient the student on the organization of the Department of the Navy and to provide him with background material to enable him to understand better the role of the Navy and the Marine Corps in national defense."
