The book is in Near Fine condition and has a Near Fine dust jacket and glassine over dust jacket. There is a thin cardboard slipcase which is in Good condition. This book is entirely in FRENCH. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have some beginning rubbing and edge wear. The text pages are clean and bright. The dust jacket is clean and bright, with some beginning bumping to the spine ends and corners, and the same for the glassine overlay. The slipcase has a large tear to the bottom spine end, and some other bumping, rubbing and wear to the edges. "During the Second World War , Méry was commissioned by the Ministry of War to train dogs to spot enemy lines but also to pass messages. It will be a bitter failure.
