There is a previous owner's inked name on the front endpaper. "He served in the U. S. Air Force on active duty from 1952-1958. While on active duty, he taught at the Air Force Academy. He retired from the Air Force Reserves as a colonel. He taught at Arkansas Tech University from 1958-1998. While at Tech, he served as Assistant Academic Dean, Dean of Arts and Sciences, and Head of the History and Political Science Department. He taught a wide variety of courses, including his favorite, U. S. Constitutional Law. He was a professor emeritus. He received great satisfaction from writing, and published four books, including History of Arkansas Tech and The Days the Presidents Died. In recent years, he wrote a weekly column for the Atkins Chronicle. " (author's obituary). Very Good+ .
