In stiff cloth covered boards size 23 by 18cm. 104 pages. Illustrated throughout. Gold decoration to front and gold title to spine. Possibly not the best copy- it lacks a dust wrapper and there is a very small mark on the bottom edge of the front board and there is also a dedication written in ball point pen to the free front endpaper- but it does have an unusual and rare addition tipped in below this dedication that make the book unique. At some point an owner probably a book dealer or collector created an odd marriage in adding a letter written by Rex Whistler. They have attached a letter signed by Rex Whistler to a friend called Elya. In thanking her for her own letter to him he apologises for his handwriting (it seems to have been written in some haste in pencil and in ink) explaining that he is working on decorating a room with images of statues and dolphins. The date is not given with only the day (Saturday) and the name first of the recipient to identify her by. An unusual item in VG condition.
