Front dust jacket flap shows 110-150, and lists 23 titles, ending with 'The Melted Coins' (first published in 1944). Jacket has yellow spine with number '16' at bottom. This format published between 1944 to 1951: see Axe, 'All About Collecting Boys' Series Books', pp. 98. The book is in very good condition, is free of any markings by previous owner and only shows slight shelf wear. 'Wartime' publishing statement on title page with consequent age-toning of paper. The dust jacket is lightly worn at the folds with some light chipping along the edges and spine ends. Thin scratch across the words 'A Figure' on front panel. Light overall soiling. In about good plus condition and now encased in clear archival-quality protective acetate. Ill.: black-&-white frontispiece. Frontispiece by Paul Laune. Orange coloured 'Gretta' endpapers.
