Thes previously unpublished photographs capture the peace and tranquility of country life and chronicle the lives of the rural community at that time. John Tarlton served in the RAF photographic unit and his early work was based in Essex but later he travelled extensively with his work regularly appearing in magazines such as Country Life and The Field.
