Description: London, Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge. 1893, First Edition. Cloth, 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Ill.: Nash, J. Gilt titles with coloured pictorial of a Saint to spine and a coloured pictorial of a woman holding a lantern and a man kneeling over a dead man on blue cloth boards. Boards are clean with just the smallest amount of wear to side of spine and to corner tips. Internally the frontispiece is loose and the closed edges are foxed else clean, tight and unmarked. Not dated but British Library has this as 1893. 384 pages and 8 page publisher's catalogue. Illustrations by J. Nash. A Good + copy. The author is the pseudonym of Wilhelmina Martha James (1845-1932). Wilhelmina Martha James (1845 - 1932) VERY SCARCE A1C. Good/No Jacket.
