Translated, edited and with an introduction by Robert Baldick. Monsieur Nicholas is the story of Restif's life down to 1797, the facts of which are probably embroidered, but nevertheless the work remains a picture of 18th century society and as a frank and searching autobiography. It contains at the end 'Tenth Epoch' - My Last Afflictions and my Approaching End. 202. Very Good/No Jacket.
