Later (19th century) mottled calf, edges painted red, raised gilt back with red title label, manuscript ex-libris on title page; ''Coll. Soc. Iesu Antverp. 1619'', modern stamp on verso of title. Title page a bit thumbed but in all a nice copyin a well preserved 19th century binding resembling 17th century binding. LACKS unfortunately the non numbered pages (560-592) which is an index to this work. (Voet n°26) This is the first edition of Alciatus's emblems with the commentary by Claudius Minos.
