The plates are printed in chromolithography and heightened witu gum arabic. (planches en chromolithographie rehaussées de gomme arabique. . Most plates depict two examples of furniture. Bound in modern brown imitation leather. Margin of title page with some restorations, Plates in very fine condition, near spotless copy. Very fine specimen of a French trade catalogue executed in stunningly bright colouring. During the reign of Napoleon III (so called Deuxième Empire); the furniture designed and fabricated by André-Charles Boulle (1642 - 1732) became very much in vogue again. The catalogues with chromolithographic plates by Victor Quetin represent the peak of illustrated furniture trade catalogues in the 19th c. .
