Plates in very fine condition Rare collection of portraits of Antwerp artists reproduced in photo-engraving. In 1877 this was a very innovative use of photography. Many of the 16th and 17th c. portraits are based on Van Dyck's iconography. The collection contains also 18th and 19th c. artist portraits. These last images are difficult to find elswhere. .
