On the opposite page of each engraving the same image, but mirrored, is printed in sepia-toned lithography. Bound in publisher's buckram, with gilt lettering on the front cover. Uncut copy, except top edge which is gilt. With the original dustwrapper. Printed by Drugulin in Leipzig in 250 numbered copies. (nr. 198). Finely preserved copy without foxing. The dustwrappershows some tiny damage at the spine (no loss of paper). The first paste-down with the first fly-leave show a small rectangular discoloration due to the insertion of a small loose label (no more present). Apart from these remarks: an exceptionally fine copy. The engraver-illustrator Henry Ramah (real name Henri Ramaeker) (1887-1947) was a member of the Brussels' art group ''La Libre esthétique''. In these engravings his early impressionist style gave way to images with sometimes very strong expressionist tendencies. After the war he became one of the first in Belgium to adhere to cubism.. .
