Bound in contemporary red half cloth, boards covered with marbled paper. Uncut copy, with old paper label on smooth spine. Binding with some traces of use, some margins a bit dustsoiled; but in all still a fine/good copy of the first edition. The lithographic plates are signed in the stone by ''F.Kaiser'' and are probably some of the earliest lithographs to be made in Italy from archeological subjects. A. Calabi (Saggio sulla Lithographia, Milano 1958) dates the first lithographs in Milan 1807. .
