This is the second edition of Sprengel's reworked edition of Linnaeus' study. The first Sprengel edition was published in Halle (Germany) in 1809. This Tournai edition is dedicated by the publisher Casterman to Prof. J.G.S. Van Breda, professor of Natural History at the newly founded Ghendt University.
