Description: .: Antverpiae ( Antwerpen ) , ex Officina Plantiniana, Apud Viduam & Ioannem Moretum, 1594, in-8°, 19 x 12 cm, (28) nn pp ( with engraved title-page ) + 953 pp + (7) nn pp ( complete, collation identical to Imhoff H-2). Bound in full old leather, with most of the green silk ties still present, covers with some blindtooling ( fillets) and a central gilt decoration, first fly leaf renewed ( not recently), binding with traces of use but still in good order. Inside a clean copy with minimal soiling of the engraved title page. This is the second edition ( first in 1590) of Haraeus' hagiography. The engraved title page is by Van der Borcht ( see New Hollstein Van der Borcht, Book illustrations vol III n° 1209, p. 233), but this plate has a different design from the 1590 edition !.
