Description: Roma, Typis Antonii de Rubeis, 1702, in-8°, 16,5 x 11,5 cm, (20)nn pp + 240 pp, ex-library with two ex-libris labels on the first paste down and two stamps on the title page , bound in contemporary full vellum, some stains as might be expected. Still a very decent copy. This is the first edition by this Jesuit author, who became later cardinal. He served 9 years as dean in the Greek college in Rome. This might have led him to contemplate on the splitting up of the Roman Catholic Church. See De Backer-Sommervogel vol. VI pp. 462.. .
