Description: 6. S.l.s.d. ( French, late 18th - early 19th c. ?), oblong format, 13,5 x 21 cm, 84 nn pp ( made and bound as one quire). Bound in old papercovered supple boards. Only half of the pages are written on. The manuscript begins with a series of danses - ''Contredanse - Mon Père je viens devant Vous - La Belle Nannette - Treizième Recueil de nouvelle contredanse et valze par Marin Pichon - N° 1 Le Jardinier Coquet - Le gage d'amour - Le caprice des Dames - ( avec texte) - ... - Le Petit espiègle -... La Cordée de Village . Méthode pour apprendre à jouer le Flageolet avec tablature des cadences (4 pp ). ...different pieces of ''Opéra comique''... The naming of Marin Pichon (1759 - ?) indicates an early 19th c. composition of the manuscript. The 13e recueil published by him , appeared in Paris in 1810 (Jouve publisher). The music is neatly written out on 6 staves per page. Allthough this is certainly a rather haphazerdly collection it is still an interesting compilation by an early 19th c. music lover. .
