Description: .: 2. Bruxelles, undated ( ca. 1940-1941 - at the end of his life). The artist declines the order for a small engraving ( ex-libris format) because his health prohibits it. He gracefully advises Jules Grosfils to gives orders to younger collegues. This item belonged to the collection of Jules Gosfils. Jules Grosfils was the animator of two important organisations which promoted Belgian graphic art during the Interbellum. The ''ABDCE'' Association Belge des Collectionneurs et Dessinateurs d' Ex-Libris; and The ''G.O.B.'' La Gravure Belge Originale. On his ex-libris see an article of Dr. Alfred Comtesse in ''Bulletin du collectionneur suisse: livres, ex-libris....Année 2 ( 1928) Issue 6.
