Lévy , 1890 ] , photography album, format in-4°, oblong, 24 x 32 cm, (4) nn pp ( text ) + 16 photographical illustrations mounted on tick boards, bound in red cloth, with large gilt title on front cover, album with 8 brass knobs and 4 brass corner ornaments (2 knobs from lower cover missing). All edges gilt. Gilt title faded, cloth dustsoiled, one corner with a crease, inside with some marginal foxing spots, overall in good condition and the photographs in fine condition. This album was published without a place name and without a publisher's name. The album, and its photographers can be identified via a similar publication '' Historique Illustré des Plantations St. James'' (Paris, Lévy, 1890). The captioned photo illustrations have each a printed facsimile of offical authorization. .
