All plates with a serpent guard leaf. Original publisher's brown cloth with as a supra-libro on both sides a large gilt lyre . Fine copy notwithstanding a slightly faded cloth. Very fine interior. First and only edition of this important source for the history of Dutch stage design, published as a memorial to the costume and stage designer François Joseph Pfeiffer. Text in Dutch.
