(lithographs, engravings), publisher's cased binding with printed boards and spine, top of spine torn, uncut, partly unopened. Boards a bit dustsoiled, interior with some slight foxing spots but still a fine/good copy. Important critique on the Brussels' Salon of 1836. The book is also remarkable for its illustrations as this was the first attempt in Belgium to revive the art of engraving to illustrate books.
