(ca. 1885-1895), leporello album (accordion folds), 19 x 15 cm, original brown decorated cloth, containing 4 full page + 31 half page + 8 quarter pages sepia coloured lithographic illustrations of Californian views and landscapes. The illustrations are based on photographs and reproduced in lithography to match the outlook of an original photograph. This technique was invented by the German lithographers Glaser & Frey. (see History's Imprints). Fine copy notwithstanding some tiny traces of use and some minor stains or dustsoiling. .
