Description: S.l. ( Roma ) , Giacomo Raffaelli in Piazza di Spagna, s.d. (ca. 1800), oblong in-folio, 27 x 38,5 cm, engraved title page + 100 engraved plates each with an engraved caption underneath, in the plate + x pp (index). Engravings mesure 18,5 x 29 cm. Bound in modern half leather with marbled boards and marbled endpapers, gilt title on smooth spine. Title page soiled and thumbed, with two small paper restorations (however outside the engraving), other plates fine notwithstanding some marginal thumbing at first 8 or 10 plates. Fine strong imprints on thick paper. (See Borroni 13479). This seems to be the first edition. Another album with 100 plates, with added in the title; '' Tratti da antichi bassirilievi'' was published some time later (not present here). .
