Bound in crimson Russian leather, large title within blind and double gilt fillet on front cover, smooth spine with gilt ornaments, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers, very fine binding although with some very slight wear at some extremities and some dents in the back cover. Interesting complete valuation, made for insurance purposes of the inventory of Copford Place near Colchester ( Essex ) , a 10 bedroom Manor House. The estimated value of the assets is £5454. Apart from furniture and household effects, the books of the library and the jewellery, wines etc. are extensively described and listed. The typescript is signed by E.C. Stewart of Maples and Co. A nice and interesting item. .
