Leodii (Liège), Joannes Matthiaes Hovius, 1654, small in-8°, 15 x 9.5 cm, engraved frontispiece (coat of arms) + xiv nn + 164 + 12 nn pp, cont. vellum, gilt fillets on both covers, title and author, inked in, ex-dono copy "Dono Auctoris" on title page, library stamp on verso title. Vellum a bit soiled but still a nice copy. The author was a jesuit from Liège, Belgium. The pope had condemned jansenist ideas in 1653. Rare. .
