Description: .: 18. Antverpiae (Antwerpen), apud Ioannem Cnobbarum, 1636, small in-4°, title page engraved by Galle after a design by Rubens + xiii nn + 288 pp, with 30 engraved portraits by Corn. Galle after drawings by Jacques Francquart. contemporary full leather, fine gilt decorated spine, marbled endpapers, blue edges. (Some wear at 2 corners, upper joint split over 3 cm, but still a good/fine copy). According to the title-page, Curtius belonged to the same order and was a historiographer and "diffinitor generalis". Corneille de Corte, Brussels ca 1590-1638, was also counsellor to Ferdinand II.
