Hanicq, 1787, in-8°, xx + 204 pp, contemporary blind paper wrapper, uncut pages, margins a bit dustsoiled, spine with loss of paper , some clear waterstains at first pages but still a good copy. The title-page describes the author as "Messire N. de Pape du Conseil d'Etat, & Chef Président du Conseil Privé de S. M. I. & C." - yet he lived at the end of the 17th century under Philip IV, the essay dating from about 1680 (so "I. & C." must be a copyist's error, the introduction says). Dekkers pp. 130 Item 1 - first edition and only imprint by this author.. .
