Year 4 (1931) issue 1(January 1931) - issue 8-9 (October-November, this being the last issue to appear.) Bound in 4 uniform dark blue imitation leather bindings, nearly uncut copies, all wrappers and publicity bound in, bound before the text of issue 1; the index of the 4 years which was loosely inserted with the very last issue. Nice complete set of this leading interbellum Belgian art periodical. Among the contributors we find, apart from Marlier; Roger Avermaete, Jean Decoen, J. De Borchgrave d'Altena, Fritz Neugass, Paul Méral, Claude Spaak, Albert Dasnoy, Jean Milo, Waldemar George, André Salmon, Paul Fierens, André Lhote, André De Ridder, Nino Frank, Maurice Casteels, Paul Werrie, Aldous Huxley, Léon Deshairs, Léo van Puyvelde, Charles Bernard, Fritz Neugass, H.A. Lavachery, André De Ridder, Paul Collin, ... Much attention is given to contemporary painting and sculpture with e.g. articles on Bourdelle, Despiau, Zadkine, on painters Dali, Derain, Lurçat, Miro, Matisse...but also on African art with articles by leading art critics in this field such as J. Maes, George-Henri Rivière, H.A. Lavachery. The publicity leaves contain some advertising designed by René Magritte.. .
