Lovanii (Leuven), Apud Petrum Sangrium Tiletanum ( Petrus Zangrius ), 1560, in-8°, ii unn + (496)pp numbered 1-248 + 2 unn pp, contemporary vellum with traces of ties, partly erased manuscript title on smooth spine, in good/fine condition. The colophon reads '' Lovanii, Typis Stephani Valerij Typog. Iurat . Anno 1560. With a handwritten note on flyleaf (... Lutetia ... xiii Kal. Julii 1607) and another old one before the titlepage (... N° 201 ...). The contemporary note says; "Eusebius, bishop of Emisa (?), was very learned in divine Scripture, and in his time second to none in preaching homilies to the people (...) He went to heaven in the reign of Constantine and his brothers, A.D. 350." Eusebius was born in Edessa and became bishop of Emisa in Syria, after refusing the see of Alexandria. Whether these homilies are really by him remains to be seen. (USTC 404338 ; Belgica Typographica 5748). .
