Contemporary half calf, marbled covers (rebacked). Rare study (by the librarian of the abbey of Saint Emmeran in Regensburg) of a Carolingian illuminated Missal in a contemporary ornamented binding. This is an early testimony of the nascent interest in medieval art and manuscripts in the 18th century. .
