Complete set of the illustrated catalogue of the Abbey collection which was one of the finest libraries to be auctioned in London in the '60-'70s. It was very strong in exceptional bindings (Part I-IV contain 147 plates of bindings h.t.) and mediaeval manuscripts. Major Abbey owned almost all the manuscripts of the former Hornby collection (Part 8 & 9 comprise 68 manuscripts of this collection). .
