Brown calf, with 4 raised band to spine, black title label, with gilt titling, marbled endpapers.Some bumping, wear to covers, splits to spine, tear at tail, previous owner's names to front endpaper and first page, no title page or prelims. small tears to some plates, small paint blob to plate 86, 1.5 inch loss to centre of plate 98, small loss to margin of plate 168, general age toning to pages. This is the scarce second edition with additional 14 plates, not found in the first edition of 1740 (Colvin 354/355). [805/16300]. Very Good.
