Album with 55 unnumbered leaves (printed recto/verso) of which 4 in full colour, others tinted and monochrome, captioned (of which in extenso) in japanese (not romanized) and indonesian, featuring numerous cartoons after drawings by ONO SASEO, of japanese soldiers and indonesian opulation types, also includes cartoons of US American soldiers. Two japanese text labels (not romanized) pasted on recte of endpaper, dutch currency book price printed on lower outer cover. NOT called-for in Royal Dutch Institute of Linguistics and Anthropology, KITLV. Album featuring numerous illustrations and cartoons after drawings by a Japanese cartoonis ONO SASEO, made shortly after the occupation of the Dutch East Indies by japanese forces in 1942. Impressions of japanese-indonesian cultural resemblances, which include anti-american cartoons, suggesting asian unity and a more 'civilized' Japan. Good copy. Very rare. (Covers a bit soiled and stained, corners a bit damaged, front rim of lower outer cover damaged over 5 cm., contents clean).
