(xlviii), 447pp. Chromolithographed frontispiece, 16 other lithographed plates of which in chromolithography (with tissue guards), 19 fairly large illustrations in text of which steel-engravings and after line-drawings, music-scores in text, fold. lithographed map of Iceland, errata printed on verso of page xvii, appendices A-E, author's preface and introduction, list of lithographs and illustrations in text, table of contents, ex-libris pasted on verso of front boards. Detailed account of a tour through Iceland, which was (according to author's preface) twofold, purposed examining scenes famous in Saga, and filling a portfolio with watercolour sketches. A;;endices featuring Ornithologyof Iceland by A. Newton; advice to Sportsmen, by J.W.R.; list of Icelandic plants; list of ICelandic published Sagas; expenses of my Tour in Iceland. A very good copy in original publ. cloth, very clean contents with fine fresh colouring of lithographs. (lower right corner of page 65 clippe, spine-ends skilfully restored).
