Well-documented monograph, which includes a chapter on the philosophy behind hermetic painting and an oeuve-catalogue listing tog. 250 paintings, with dates and dimensions, of this famous dutch female painte Diana Vandenberg, (Née Angèle Thérèse Blomjous,1923-1997). After the second World War she was one of a work-group of Dutch artists who called themselves meta-realists because they saw something esoteric about reality and painted it in detail. During her marriage with Johfra (Johannes Franciscus van den Berg) she discovered that Indian and Indonesian influences could help her to transform her art. Her life-work consists of over 300 paintings and are widely collected nowadays. Published in a limited edition of 700 copies only, this copy bears nr. 340, autographed by artist and author, on recte of 3rd. unnumbered lve. at front. French text only. Good to very good copy, WITH dustjacket. (some light occasional scuffing to extremieties of dustjacket, tiny tear at tail of spine skilfully mended).
