Finely bound in early half tan calf, spine with five raised bands, the compartments double ruled, dot line and decorated with gilt floral centre-pieces and lettered in gilt. Beige cloth on boards. School coat of arms stamp of Calday Grange Grammar School on front board in gilt. Top edge gilt. Marbled endpapers. Some foxing, mostly to the fore edge and not affecting the text. Overall a very good copy throughout. The binding is not signed but is certainly the work of a master bookbinder. A lovely, attractively bound copy of Kipling's classic collection, most famous for containing the great Poem "If".
