A very good clean and bright set. Finely bound in half burgundy calf by Ramage of London. Spines with raised bands, each with gilt wavy lines. Compartments double ruled, decorated and lettered in gilt. Twin dark green morocco labels, gilt. Marbled paper on boards. Marbled endpapers. Top edges gilt. A couple of pages with some light spotting but generally a very clean and bright set. Some very minor rubbing to the edges of the bindings and a scratch to the name label on one volume but overall this is an attractive set in very good condition throughout. The Warden and Barchester Towers are each illustrated with 8 full page plates by F. C. Tilney, Doctor Thorne has 8 plates by H. L. Shindler, Framley Parsonage has 6 and The Small house at Allington has 18 plates by Sir John E. Millais, and The Last chronicle of Barset has 32 plates by George H. Thomas.
