Full-Leather, 16mo - over 5? - 6? tall. two volumes bound in one, original (?) full dark leather, red title label, upper board detached at joint but loosely held by cords. some rubbing to leather especially to corners, probably still OK for a rebacking, VOL 1 starts with frontis (with former owners name stamp to its verso [Wm.Craig]) and facing engraved title page, followed by printed title page, this has bottom right corner torn and missing losing some of the publishers information (but this is duplicated in vol 2 title) and has an erased pencil mathematical equation on the blank verso. xxiv + 135pp + 2 engraved plates one has been adeptly hand coloured. VOL 2 engraved title followed by printed title, vii + 143pp + 3 engraved plates + blank fly. Book has front fep missing. Book closed edges are dust soiled, top 20-30mm of all pages have been waterstained varying from darkish to quite light in places. A nice little volume to keep in the pocket while touring the Highlands maybe! (500 gram rate). Good/No Jacket.
