Galley/Proof, proof copy bound in brown paper wrappers, front panel detached, sewn colllations, folded and slipped in at front is a dustwrapper, this has a crease fold mark across the horizontal centre and is slightly worn but still very tidy, the first page is the frontis. on the verso of this is the noted New Zealand mountaineer and mountain writer John Pascoe's name and address ( in his hand), 118pp being 38pp of text and the rest plates mainly taken by Sella, includes: the Alps, Karakoram, Margherita Hut, Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Caucasus, Elbruz, Ushba, Mount St Elias, Ruwenzori, Himalaya, Kangchenjunga, K2, Baltoro, some soiling to page margins.
