Modern vellum with flaps, spine titled in black. A commentary on the Gospels by Theophylact, an eleventh-century bishop of Bulgaria. Theophylact was made Archbishop (around 1088) of Ohrid in the Byzantine period, having been deacon of Santa Sophia. He was one of the only Byzantine writers to defend the Latins and reject the idea of schism.
